Club Information

The Kiwanis Club of Fontana is within Division 36 of the California, Nevada, Hawaii (Cal-Nev-Ha) District of Kiwanis International.  It was founded in 1987, and is well-known throughout the community.  The Club's priority is to assist the youth in our community in three primary ways: 1) by youth scholarships, 2) youth programs, and 3) by performing community service.

To support its COMMUNITY GIVING PROGRAMS, the club holds one major fundraiser:  the 4th of July Fireworks Booth, from the end of June thru July 4th.  These funds are then distributed throughout the year to local youth, and other community programs.  Multiple graduating seniors, from ALL seven Fontana high schools (including continuation schools) receive scholarships every year.

Other direct club community services include Relay for Life, a book collection and give-away for the local Head Start, complete with Santa and his Elf.  We also sponsor a Cub Scout Troop and provide food baskets to families in need, with the help of the Fontana Unified School District's distribution program, during the holidays, and donate toys for those less fortunate at Christmas time.  We focus on helping people that need a hand, and not just a handout.

If you are interested becoming a member in a truly dynamic organization, that will provide you with great personal satisfaction, in meaningful service to our community, but which will allow you to serve at your own pace, in an atmosphere of fun and good fellowship, then this is the club for you!!!

There are no secret handshakes or special rituals, just a group of people interested in the same thing - helping others and improving the lives of children!

The members of the Kiwanis Club of Fontana feel good, by doing good, and have fun doing it!
